The Falcon

Posted: September 30th, 2008, by TJM Author

Although I’m not crazy about the opening line of this advert, it is undoubtedly the coolest spaceship ever designed. We no longer need to say the entire name of the ship to lighten up a Star Wars fan’s eyes. The Falcon will do. Just the Falcon.

Hasbro has put out a number of excellent items over the years, each one better crafted and much more fun. For the serious collectors, toys remain tightly sealing inside boxes that are carefully wrapped and stashed away in boxes – never to be seen again – until that auction. Then and only then do the stored treasures see the light of day and the price tags rise!

For a grand price of US$149.99 – Hasbro has released an updated model of the Falcon that will please the inner Star Wars fan. With some assembly required the finished ship will display any number of switches, sounds and lights that will have you again sitting beside Chewie and Han as they dodge the Imperials!

Reviews: Get it while it’s hot!

Clone Wars cast talk Star Wars

Posted: August 13th, 2008, by TJM Author

Well you guessed it, more Clone Wars news. Seriously I am finding it difficult to keep up with the amount of news that is being generated by this film.  Not to worry I suppose, only a few more days to go. Anyway this time we have some news from the recent premiere where alot of the voice actors took some time out to share their thoughts on Star Wars.  With a new set of actors now firmly part of the Star Wars saga it’s a nice opportunity to get to know exactly who is voicing our favourite characters.

The woman behind Ahsoka Tano, Ashley Eckstein, revealed that she has a soft for the unsung hero of Star Wars, R2-D2 while admitting that she hoped that her character would bring the same type of inspiration to young girls that Princess Leia had done so for her.

The voice of Padme, Catherine Taber found it hard to select one favourite from the films, opting for Han Solo and Yoda. “It’s a tie between Han Solo and Yoda.” “Yoda, because of everything he says about how to live life. And then Han Solo because he’s Harrison Ford and he’s very sexy. Who doesn’t like Han Solo if you’re a girl?”  For the orginal article Click Here.
