Dear Sammy, we have to write an answer to you now, as later on we will have no possibility of sending you this letter as they have a renovation at the post office and there are announcements everywhere that if somebody has anything to be sent - it has to be done by Thursday. And it is tomorrow. Anyway, I hope you are doing well out there. we are doing fine too. We have some good news - uncle Jim has won a trip to Bahamas! But that would be all as far as good news is concerned. I don"t know how to tell you that... but the best way is just straight ahead without hiding anything, is that right? So... we will not send you any money for your winter tyres this season. You will have to cope with what you have got. Father lost his job and we have currently really no option to provide you with new winter tyres. you will have to forget about that I am afraid, really. There is no other way out for us but to refuse that, we have to keep that in secret so that the neighbors do not get to know that. otherwise the rumors could have ruined us completely. We have to pay attention to stuff like that, we cannot neglect that. too bad you will not get the new winter tyres, that would increase the safety and stuff... we are totally aware of all that but there is not much to be done about the whole case really.
