Clone Wars cast talk Star Wars

Posted: August 13th, 2008, by JM Author

Well you guessed it, more Clone Wars news. Seriously I am finding it difficult to keep up with the amount of news that is being generated by this film.  Not to worry I suppose, only a few more days to go. Anyway this time we have some news from the recent premiere where alot of the voice actors took some time out to share their thoughts on Star Wars.  With a new set of actors now firmly part of the Star Wars saga it’s a nice opportunity to get to know exactly who is voicing our favourite characters.

The woman behind Ahsoka Tano, Ashley Eckstein, revealed that she has a soft for the unsung hero of Star Wars, R2-D2 while admitting that she hoped that her character would bring the same type of inspiration to young girls that Princess Leia had done so for her.

The voice of Padme, Catherine Taber found it hard to select one favourite from the films, opting for Han Solo and Yoda. “It’s a tie between Han Solo and Yoda.” “Yoda, because of everything he says about how to live life. And then Han Solo because he’s Harrison Ford and he’s very sexy. Who doesn’t like Han Solo if you’re a girl?”  For the orginal article Click Here.

The Clone Wars

Posted: August 12th, 2008, by JM Author

Well here we go again.  I really did think while watching Revenge of the Sith that this would be the last time I would see Star Wars on the big screen but here we are all geared up for another exciting installment of the saga.As usual the negativity from the critics has already surfaced, from the animation, the characters movement and the lack of “real” actors offering the voices.  Surprised? Probably not.  Disappointing as it sounds, I find it difficult to trust the reviews that are offered by the film “experts” anyway.

Regardless animated or not, this film is just what the Star Wars community needs at this point in time.    Apart from the EU, the community needs some new discussion points, and this film will surely bring plenty of those.  Anyway, I will be there popcorn in hand on Thursday evening (I Hope) or more realistically Friday to see the action unfold.  Remember, don’t forget to share your thoughts once you see it!

Mark Newbold speaks with JM

Posted: July 22nd, 2008, by JM Author

After the recent interview with our very own Dean Carville, Mark Newbold agreed to let JM return the favour this month by allowing us to turn the tables and put the questions to him.  The exciting arrangement follows up on our successful interview with Drew Karpyshyn back in January which proved popular with many fans outside of Jedi-Masters.  Myself and the rest of the staff at TheJediMasters hope that the interview will mark the beginning of a popular planned Interview period with some important people within the Star Wars community.

The founder of the popular Lightsaber website took some time out of his busy schedule to let us put some questions to him about his website, interviews and his own personal interests in Star Wars. Mark tells us about his early experiences with Star Wars, beginning like many of us on the school playground and building to something that features prominently now in his life.  In what can be described as a exciting interview, you will learn the opinions and experiences of the man behind Lightsaber.  Click here to read the interview

Star Wars Photoshop Competition

Posted: July 21st, 2008, by JM Author

No matter what day of the week it is, there is always something cool on the internet about Star Wars.  Am I right?  Although usually the articles are made up with this and that about the upcoming Clone Wars.  Anyway today was no different.  I started the day as usual by making my coffee, strong and sweet before sitting down and working my way through the list of Star Wars themed websites that appear right into my inbox and of course the minority that are shown to me at the beginning of my day.  After some good ones and bad ones, I noticed right away a complete gem of an article.

The website worth1000 has been running a competition which involves from what I can gather, creating Star Wars themed pictures using Photoshop software.  Surprisingly working my way through them I found that some are quite strange, but generally most of them are rather good.

Anyway enough of my blabbering, check them out for yourself but don’t forget to let me know which of them stands out for you. Click Here
